Agnes and her sister Nora mourn the death of their mother. They are reunited with their absent father Gustav, once a renowned film director. He offers Nora a role in the film that is supposed to be his big comeback. Wanneer Nora rejects the role, she discovers that her role is going to a young Hollywood star. The sisters must face the difficult relationship with their father and deal with an American star who has landed in the middle of their complex family relationships...
