B-Jazz 2027: Belgian preliminary round

B-Jazz International Contest gives young jazz talent the chance to show themselves to a professional jury and an enthusiastic audience. In Harelbeke you will see promising bands live at work, each with their own style, fresh energy, and a good dose of musical talent. For this competition, twelve Belgian bands are selected annually for four preliminary rounds in the country. Two of them qualify for the final in Ghent, together with four international bands. The winner receives the Grote Prijs Albert Michiels and gets performance opportunities on international stages. The competition, which was founded in 1979 as Jazz Hoeilaart, has grown into an established name in the jazz world.
