Els Snick loves Ostend because: “I love Ostend because the spirit of the thirties hangs there, when Joseph Roth fulminated against Adolf Hitler at café tables, held writing marathons with his new lover Irmgard Keun, and let himself be treated by Stefan Zweig at the better Italian in the Langestraat.”
Various people were asked why they love Ostend. They take you on a one-and-a-half-hour tour to show you the Ostend they love. It is absolutely not a classic city walk but a journey into their experience of the city, sometimes artistic, other times humorous or social. Depending on the guide, you always get a different experience. The only thing the different guides have in common is their love for Ostend.
The last two days, it is a special city walk exclusively for the blind and visually impaired: `reading with your ears`.
