On July 11, three singer-songwriters from Mechelen will bring their music to Het Predikheren. In this warm setting, we welcome Hummie, Berang, and Lien Schoeters, who is performing this time as a duo with Pieter Peirsman (Hooverphonic, Slow Pilot). A must-see for those who love music that dares to strike a sensitive chord, in one of the most beautiful spots in the city.
Hummie brings cuddly indie folk with the occasional small storm. In 2025 and early 2026, he released his first three singles: A Start, The Cave, and Wandering Wondering. In the meantime, he is working at his leisure on a debut EP. Honest songs for the wanderers and the dreamers.
Lien Schoeters is playing this time as a duo with Pieter Peirsman and brings piano pop with a jazzy sound. Her first full album, Safe Harbour, was released in early 2026, following her debut EP in late 2025. Inspired by everything you feel but cannot say – “Sing what you can’t say, what you can’t show.”
Berang, known for his indie folk with a punk soul, released his second album, Does It Ever Get Better?, at the end of January. Inspired by Elliott Smith, The Weakerthans, and the feeling you get when you read the newspaper.
