Het Schupleer is a varied and European protected nature reserve in the valley of Kleine Nete and Aa in Vorselaar and Grobbendonk, with extensions to the drier forests and dunes of the Kempense ridge.
In recent years, the area has expanded significantly and extensive works are taking place as part of a Nature Development project coordinated by VLM. For example, a new slow walking connection was created between Vorselaar and Grobbendonk in the valley of the recently "re-meandered" Aa.
On Sunday afternoon, August 16, we will explore that "Schupleerpad" and its surroundings under the guidance of a local guide. We will receive explanations about the fauna and flora and the management of the area. After the walk, we can enjoy a Gageleer or a locally pressed juice in Natuurpunt's historic sheepfold.
Sturdy walking shoes are recommended.
In very wet weather, boots are necessary.
