On the foundations of the mining past and the old zoo of Zwartberg in Genk, a project is evolving that takes you into the unique vision of artist Koen Vanmechelen. Koen Vanmechelen - who lives in Oudsbergen - is realizing his life's work there: a living work of art. During the tour ‘CosmoGolem meets cosmopolitans of tomorrow’, a ‘cross-pollinator’ takes your class on the road. Through a 2-hour interactive trip through the 24ha large park, you get to know the works of art and animals of Koen Vanmechelen. The children are involved through game elements, group activities, and conversations. Universal themes such as diversity and children's rights will be tangible and discussable thanks to the language of art. Bus transport is provided. Date: one morning in the period from September 13 to October 8, 2026. The final planning will follow at the start of the school year.
