LYING is not allowed! Everyone knows that, right?! Although… Isn't lying… a bubbling up of fantasy? An anti-boring-ness-machine? Or just a way to no longer be sad or afraid? In short, isn't lying rather… a superpower? And by the way… are adults themselves always honest?
In the new performance by De Nieuwe Tijd and Het Paleis, we dive into the wonderful world of the lie. We follow three young players who discover what lying is, what you can do with it, but also how you can get lost in lies. They are accompanied live by three musicians, while a bouncy castle grows with every lie told in the hall. Until it bursts.
LIEGEN (LYING) is a story full of tension, jokes, and above all an 'ode to fantasy'. A performance for the whole family that zooms through your stomach like a small rollercoaster and gently embraces you at the end. Extremely suitable for children from six years old who sometimes twist the truth.
After the performance, we are organizing a free craft workshop for the children on the theme of the performance in collaboration with Academie Waasmunster.
