The intimate life of Turnhout residents from the 14th to the first half of the 20th century has not often been discussed in detail. During this walk, we tell the participants about love within and outside of marriage and also highlight the sometimes bitter sides. Why the expression of love and tenderness towards children rarely happened in the past is explained. We naturally meet the Turnhout doctor Nand Peeters and explain how, through his medical developments, he offered couples and expectant mothers more comfort (and happiness?). Getting to know the intimate and often hidden life of the Turnhout residents in bygone times will surprise many participants.
