Wim Vanlee drops his camera bag, slides behind the decks, and transforms on Sunday, June 21, into his alter ego deejay JAZZWIPE — a music maniac with a weakness for groovy jazz & breakbeats, funky twists, and obscure gems. At the comic and book square , he serves an idiosyncratic cocktail of jazzy vibes & rare funky grooves, subtly spiced with tracks from artists in the lineup of the upcoming edition of Jazz op de Hei #4, where he is a co-programmer. Carlos Dyckmans It started in 1992, an 11-year-old boy found a guitar and played his first notes. What started as a hobby quickly ended as a non-stop passion and job. Very quickly he rolled from one music group into another, and he went to study at the Antwerp Music Academy (Muzische Vorming) and Jazz-Studio. In terms of guitar playing, Carlos was influenced by Pat Metheny, Wes Montgomery, and Pat Martino. Currently, he is active in the Antwerp band KOALA, with which he has toured various stages.
