Duo Tiaire - Aperitif concert

Duo Tiaire brings a refined dialogue between cello and harp. Tiago Henriques and Claire Schuurmans combine their instruments into a warm, transparent sound that sounds both intimate and rich. In this aperitif concert, they let their instruments speak in a program that centers on refinement, interplay, and musicality. Since 2022, they have been building a musical story together. They are inspired by diverse influences and are constantly looking for new ways to touch their audience. Their interdisciplinary project around The City of the Blind by José Saramago shows their curious and imaginative approach. Their talent did not go unnoticed. Duo Tiaire won prizes at, among others, the Rosa Spier Harpconcours and the Prinses Christina Concours and reached the final of the Supernova competition. In addition, they were guests at Podium Klassiek as Jonge Helden and played at festivals such as the Grachtenfestival and Muziekzomer Gelderland. Cc ‘t Schaliken has been a ‘star gazer’ for several years and commits itself to including a talented young ensemble selected for the Supernova competition in its program.
