Rozeke, Warre Borgmans Theatre

Rozeke, Warre Borgmans

Sat, 31 Oct 2026 · 20:30
Mark Liebrecht Schouwburg, Mortsel
€15–22
If his great childhood love leaves him for a rich good-for-nothing, he marries another woman and decides to build a plumbing empire. The company becomes a success and Guillaume makes a fortune. His wife becomes his great support and confidante, his little daughter Rozeke the apple of his eye, but the relationship with his three sons becomes increasingly strained. Then Guillaume sees his childhood love again. On his 88th birthday, the old Guillaume looks back on his life. He is proud that he succeeded in saving and further expanding his company during and after the war. At his wife's insistence, he has since handed over the business to his sons. But at what cost?... The theater text Rozeke is based on the novel of the same name that was written by the great-grandson of sanitary tycoon Guillaume Van der Stighelen, namely (ex-)advertising man and author Guillaume Van der Stighelen. For fans of the book! We also offer this performance in the context of the Verwenweek van Bibliotheek Mortsel. You can discover the full program in the autumn in the library and on mortsel.bibliotheek.be. cast Warre Borgmans - text and direction Geert Vermeulen - © photo Karolina Maruszak
