DJ Ahmet

Ahmet dreams of becoming a DJ. Music is a refuge, a welcome distraction from his life as a shepherd in rural North Macedonia, where traditionalism reigns supreme and his future prospects are limited to his flock. Everything changes when the 15-year-old shepherd comes face to face with Aya, a free-spirited young woman with an equally great love of music. His heart beats faster than the EDM music he plays for her, and every extra track on his playlist makes it clear that he will have to defy his strict father’s expectations to achieve the life he desires for himself.
