"Articolo 1" is a one-person show that seeks to give a voice to the difficult professional situation of young graduates in Italy. The show attempts to paint a portrait of the transition to adulthood: from endless job interviews and online applications to terrifying employment contracts, via the search for housing and the need to explain this new, complex world of work to one's own parents. Everything is approached with a great serenity and lucidity typical of our generation, that of "millennials" — a disoriented generation, lost in this veritable blender that life has become after the terrible year 2020. BIO: My name is Monir Ghassem. If my name evokes more of a Middle Eastern drug dealer, I am actually a deeply frustrated International Relations graduate. Failing to find the "right" job (in the most literal sense of the term), I fell back on stand-up. On stage, I exorcise my existential dramas as a future precarious thirty-something, confronted with life's first major decisions. In 2025, I won the Prize of Satire de Forte dei Marmi.
