Stan Van Samang - STAN SOLO+ (Try-out)

Stan Van Samang is no stranger to Opwijk. For instance, he was originally scheduled to sing in our hall for the first time in January 2026 after the long renovations. Unfortunately, this did not work out. That is why he opens the new cultural season for us and we get to be the first to enjoy his brand-new show. In 2006, Stan Van Samang won the singing competition ‘Steracteur Sterartiest’ and in 2007 he scored his very first number one hit with ‘Scars’. To celebrate that, the singer is heading to the theaters again under the title ‘Stan Solo +’. As the title already suggests: Stan kicks off the show all alone, solo with his voice and his guitar. Just as it all began 20 years ago for the popular singer. This will be Stan's most unique show, pure and authentic. A qualitative musical trip in which the singer brings his greatest hits. But it is also an ode to his musical blood brother Eric Melaerts, his plus in ‘Stan Solo +’. Melaerts could not be missing from this anniversary edition, because he was there from the very beginning: he sat on the jury of ‘Steracteur Sterartiest’ and he was the producer of Stan's very first hit ‘Scars’. The circle is complete. ‘Stan Solo +’ will be one of the most memorable shows of 2026-2027.
