Harpiste Jenna Vergeynst has a passion for new music, creation, and music theater. She has a background as a bio-engineer and spent her young years in JNM, which left her with a fascination for ecology and a great love for animals. In her creative artistic practice, Jenna seeks ways to connect with non-human life through music, and she attempts to express the connection and interdependence between all life. Jenna obtained her master’s degree in harp from Miriam Overlach in 2023 with the highest distinction. In that same year, she received a first prize in the Collegium21 competition in Paris, as well as the Marius Constant prize and a special prize for the interpretation of Fidélité van Aperghis. In addition, she is a scholarship holder of the Kranigsteiner Musikpreis for the interpretation of contemporary music at the Internationales Musikinstitut Darmstadt 2023.
