From the need to remove the invisibility of grief and to emphasize that there is no step-by-step plan or end point, she gives an insight into how grief makes its way through her life and squeezes out through all the pores of her body at the most unwanted moments. In an uncontrolled, associative, and wild way, she tries to solve fundamental questions about her existence. What is a psychosis really? Should we see a psychosis as an end point? Or is it better to look at the rich thoughts and experiences that are hidden underneath? Colette shows how vulnerability on stage can take a form that is human, relatable, and non-stigmatizing.
