Slam, Miss Baker:
Miss Baker, from Brussels, trained as a journalist and violinist, began slam poetry in 2022 with Slameke in Brussels. Her slams are political or intimate, and incorporate wordplay and rhythm. She is the winner of the 2025 Francophone Slam Championship of Belgium in Charleroi, and then wins the title at the Belgium CBK championship in Liège in 2025!
Qui a tué Issam ? Généalogie de la violence, Fernando Zamora:
Through an intimate narrative, this gestural conference delves into the structural violence that shapes the lives of young people in working-class neighborhoods. Marked by poverty, social determinism, and lack of prospects, many see their choices reduced to nothing, trapped in logics of survival, marginalization, and sometimes delinquency. What roles do institutions—school, justice, police—play as cogs in a system that reproduces inequality and breaks trajectories from childhood onwards? How do economic, symbolic, police, and judicial violence contribute to a deeply rooted system of social control, traversed by systemic racism? This gestural conference is a voice raised to understand, denounce, and resist.
