This season, Simon Binon, Niels Lukkesen, Brecht Valckenaers, and Mathijs Everts chose work by György Ligeti and post-Soviet repertoire. Highlights: ‘Mysteries of the Macabre’, a trumpet solo by Annelies Van Parys – heard for the first time in Belgium – and new work by Valckenaers for the exceptional instrumentation of trumpet, tuba, piano, and percussion.
