In the small town of Bomont, the local preacher Shaw Moore calls the shots. He is concerned about the moral well-being of the youth and is convinced that 'today's devilish music' is the root of their downfall. Dancing is therefore forbidden in the parish. His rebellious daughter Ariel does not agree with this at all and does everything to get her father on his horse. When the handsome Ren MacCormack arrives in Bomont, he and Ariel join forces to fight against the ultra-conservative preacher and his loyal parishioners.
