Everyone goes on a trip sometimes. Sometimes by plane, sometimes with a little backpack to daycare. Often with a lot of enthusiasm and joy, but sometimes also with awkwardness, fear, or homesickness. In Battoe begins the journey on a special means of transport: a wooden musical raft. Two artists set off on an adventure together and sail through a sea of sounds and emotions. Step by step and wave after wave, they discover the complicated world and themselves a little bit more. Battoe is a performance about coming home in an ever-changing world. We all know travel. Whether it's a trip to the other side of the world, a weekend in a neighboring country, or going to daycare with a little backpack for the first time: we go on a journey a little bit every day.
