What started as an intimate concert idea grew into a permanent fixture on the cultural summer agenda. For this party edition, Belgian-Limburg pianist & composer Daniel Verstappen returns to this unique historical setting for an evening where music, atmosphere, and meeting are central. Together with violist Marina Barskaya and the Bulgarian choir Bulgapeya, he brings a program that balances between cinematic film music and Bulgarian chants: intense, layered, and emotional. Expect no traditional classical concert, but a total experience in which piano, strings, and vocals merge into one continuous story. The concert builds on the successful program that was previously heard in La Monnaie Brussel, with music by iconic composers such as Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer, and Karl Jenkins, interwoven with traditional Bulgarian vocal traditions.
