One day, Kamagurka

In this new show by Kamagurka, all possibilities are open. Everything is possible, everything is allowed! Where he draws from existing material in a first part, in the second part of ‘Op zekere dag’ (One day) he responds to questions from the audience. In doing so, he takes the freedom to formulate his answers by improvising or drawing. Kama in full! Kamagurka (Luc Zeebroek) is a painter, cartoonist, television and theater maker. He started working for Humo in the 70s and has been publishing in newspapers and magazines in Europe ever since. Voor Stubru and TV he made together with Herr Seele ‘Studio Kafka’, ‘Bob and George’, ‘Lava’, and ‘Wees blij met wat je hebt!’ (Be happy with what you have!). Later he worked solo with De Laatste Show, Man Bijt Hond (‘De Grens’), ‘Uitzonderlijk Vervoer’ (on Vier), and ‘300 Jaar Grens’ for Canvas. Long before the hype of stand-up comedy, Kamagurka already brought his absurdist brainwaves and texts to the stage. As a performer, he feels like a fish in water. After the solo performances 'Sprook', ‘Vliegangst op de pechstrook’, ‘hahaha’, and ‘De grenzen van de ernst’, he toured for several seasons with ‘The Return of the Comeback’, a comeback to the theater with his companion de route Herr Seele. That Dat Kama’s absurdism is still strongly appreciated was once again made clear.
