Hoevetour Heuvelland | from wool to honey

Together with forester Renate, you will discover nature on and around the Scherpenberg. You will read the history in the landscape, both the green and the dark pages. You will walk along hedges and sunken roads, pause at the cattle watering hole, and catch your breath at the top of the Scherpenberg. At 't Kalissehof, you will meet the sheep and the sheepdogs. Herder Hans will show how the sheepdogs herd the sheep. We will have a picnic with a view of the beautiful Heuvelland, and afterwards, we will head to the Zoetemoendje apiary for a tour of the bee and butterfly garden. A beautiful insight into life in the hive, the work of the beekeeper, and the importance of bees for biodiversity. Naturally, we will taste artisanal honey, jam, and pickles.
