Warre Verlinden Mechelaar Warre Verlinden (°2004) has been involved in cabaret since he was ten. Together with his sister, Emma, who is four years older, they formed the duo Warremma and have made many stages in Flanders and the Netherlands unsafe. Warre is a disarming stage charmer who can whip up the room and have them eating out of his hand! He is seen as the talent of tomorrow and is best described as a spice blend of Bart Peeters, Kommilfoo, and Bart Cannaerts. Warre is working hard on his very first full-length performance: ZEKER ONZEKER and he is coming to try out a piece of it in Ostend ZEKER ONZEKER is a unique, personal, musical look at the (un)certainty of a young twenty-something. Listen to his story about making choices and chasing dreams... And join in as he discovers his place in the world. From the age of fourteen, Warre followed the comedy-cabaret training with “expert in the field” Thomas Smith in the Stedelijk Conservatorium Mechelen. He has already been programmed in many lineups in Flanders and has also played the opening act for big names such as Philippe Geubels, Pieter Verelst & Yannick Noben several times. Warre is also doing well in the Netherlands: in 2020 he won De Gouden Thermometer of the 39 degrees festival in Breda and in 2023 even the personality prize at the prestigious Groninger Studenten Cabaret Festival (GSCF). This year he made it to the quarter-finals of the Leids Cabaret Festival (LCF). He fillets, in his own inimitable way, the human and humanity, with sharp observations, confronting humor, and surprising depth. His full-frontal style plays a broad spectrum: from politics and society to small human sides and pure madness. Han Solo is not afraid to push boundaries, but always guards the boundary of decency, razor-sharp, but always human. After previous shows that were overloaded with praise and stars, he proves again that like good wine, he only gets better: sharper, slyer, and digging even deeper into the madness of our time.
