On November 22, 2026, on the occasion of the sixth Belgian edition of "22q11 Day", we are joining the European movement to illuminate iconic buildings in red in order to draw the general public's attention to this disease and the people affected by it.
This is the Journée Internationale of support for 22q11 syndrome, a little-known chromosomal disorder affecting nevertheless 1 in 2,200 people in Belgium.
Symptoms are varied and different for each person, ranging from learning difficulties to heart, hearing, or feeding problems.
Our municipality has already supported this action during previous editions, and we are very happy to count ourselves once again among this year's participating municipalities.
On this occasion, the tower of Saint-Julien Church will be illuminated in red on November 22.
