NO MORE WAR MUSIC - Zuidpool

WAR MUSIC is a story. A story about war. Our very first story about war. Or our story about our very first war. Well, at least it is a version of that story. Or no, perhaps rather a story about the different versions of that story. NO MORE WAR MUSIC is a dismantling of the stories with which we feed our wars. A playful attempt to disarm them. A wind concert about the battle for our right. Because war too is nothing less than a story. Besieged by a continuous stream of input, Sofie Decleir, Kaat Hellings, and Andrew Claes bend over the foundations of our war narrative. And by that alone, they make its construction wobble. We are kicking off the theater program 26/27 with a company that we are often allowed to welcome. Last season Zuidpool was our guest with the memorable ALKIBIADES (CCHA, 2025) in which Sofie Decleir almost blew us away with her portrayal of the eponymous main character.
