Your host is Ghent stand-up comedian Edouard De Prez, who chats with fellow comedians about the most important questions of life, such as: Are you still allowed to have contact with your ex? Is Acid an idiot? Do you prefer to visit a church or a McDonald’s when you go on a city trip? Should singles pay more taxes? Wiping your butt sitting or standing? Renting or buying? Wingspan? In 2019, Palaver won a Cutting Edge Award in the radio/podcast category and that has literally yielded nothing except an unnecessary mention in this little text. Edouard De Prez is a comedian from Ghent with the corresponding juicy accent. Since 2014, he has been scouring Flemish stages with his sharp observations. He dismantles generally accepted wisdom and offers new perspectives on modern life. He already reached the finals of Radio 2’s Humorklas 2016 and the Lunatic Comedy Award 2017. He won the Koekelare Comedy Cup 2015 and the Eindhoven Comedy Match in 2019. He previously did the regular opening act for the full-length shows ‘Reset’ by William Boeva and ‘Kwestie Van Smaak’ by Lukas Lelie. A few years ago, he made a name for himself as comedy rapper Jérome. He caused a stir with Youtube hits like ‘Gele Fiets’ and ‘Doe Een Dutje’. He has since left his rap career behind him to focus on stand-up comedy.
