Oppova, Images on Wood

Oppova is a musical trio formed by bassoonist Pieter Opsteyn and percussionists Karel Opsteyn and Jasmijn Vandecaetsbeek. Carried by a close friendship, this ensemble reaches further than music alone. The name Oppova subtly refers to that connection, derived from the British-English "oppo", which means friend or colleague. This special combination of bassoon and percussion provides a surprising and rich sound palette. Moreover, the program gets an extra dimension because Pieter Opsteyn is not only a performer but also a composer: he writes a new work for the trio especially for this occasion.
