Movedbymatter (6th grade)

'ROOM' is a dance and circus performance for one parkour athlete in a domestic space: a room. Set to music by Stef Kamiel Carlens, the performance explores how we relate to what sets us in motion. In that room, a world of thoughts, feelings, and emotions unfolds, sometimes trying to get a grip on a world that was not designed for everyone. Inspired by their experiences with neurodiversity, creators Kasper Vandenberghe and Matt McCreary show how searching for a foothold between order and chaos can be a constant challenge. ROOM invites you to look with attention — at yourself, at the other, and at the world around you. A performance about melancholy, desire, hope, and the search for stability.
