After ten years in a feverish cryosleep, The Hickey Underworld has awakened. Younes Faltakh (vocals/guitar), Jonas Govaerts (guitar), Georgios Tsakiridis (bass), and Jimmy Wouters (drums) first poked their noses out the window with the victory in Humo’s Rock Rally 2006. De Borgerhoutse noise rockers subsequently dropped several bombs like ‘Future Words’, ‘Mystery Bruise’, and ‘Blonde Fire’. In 2016, after three albums, the band called it quits, but since 2023 The Hickey Underworld has been crawling onto a stage regularly again. And into the studio, it turns out, because in March 2026 the long-awaited fourth album ‘Cold Sun’ appeared. It is their most furious effort to date, with abrasive guitars and damn catchy songs . And that is also noticeable live: standing still during a concert by The Hickey Underworld is absolutely not tolerated!
