Their meeting is a duet of tenderness, humor, and recognition. They are two players who have known each other for years, sharing their love for the small stories behind the human being. Live music of accordion and flute weaves through their play and comfortingly lifts the memories, or perhaps just lights the fire again. Surplace is not a performance about being old, but about the road to it. About balancing between yesterday and tomorrow, between melancholy and desire. About the illusion that you can plan life, and the realization that getting older cannot be directed. And what it is above all: an ode to being on the road.
