In the performance ‘Bloedheet & tranen’ (Hot Flashes & Tears), presenter and theater maker Evi Hanssen explores with the necessary dose of humor how the menopause, that wonderful phase in a woman's life, influences her body and mind. She talks about her struggles with herself and her surroundings, her transition from a fiery sex bomb to a self-confident graying lady, and the hormonal chaos that turns her life and that of those around her upside down. With ‘Bloedheet & tranen’, she builds on that recognizable signature: honest, bold, and socially relevant. Once again, she consciously chooses a subject that is still talked about too little, with the mission to break open this taboo as well.
