Walking towards recovery: 5 senses walk Event

Walking towards recovery: 5 senses walk

Tue, 8 Sept 2026 · 14:00
Demerpoort, BETEKOM
€3
Description? The five senses walk invites you to slow down and reconnect with what you see, hear, smell, taste, and feel. By consciously focusing on your senses in nature, space is created to step out of autopilot and be more present in the moment. The guidance is recovery-oriented and reflective, with experiential learning at its core. The focus is on consciously perceiving through the senses and increasing attention to what you experience in the here and now. In this way, the walk becomes a way to reflect on yourself and your own recovery process. The exercises are completely voluntary: you choose for yourself what you give your attention to and what you do or do not want to share with the group. There is space to experience, reflect, and reconnect with yourself and your environment at your own pace. In collaboration with UilenSpiegel vzw & de Hulster. Practical “Wandelen naar herstel: 5 zintuigenwandeling” is a monthly workshop given by Hadewijch, Kaat (experts by experience) & Katrien (quartermaster Aarschot). Meeting point: 14:00 at the bridge of the Demer in Betekom (Vorsdonkbroekwandeling). We will take a 5 km walk. Ensure sturdy walking shoes and clothing adapted to the weather conditions. If desired, you can also bring a snack or drink for along the way. For more information about this activity, you can always send an email to: katrien.meermans@dehulster.be Are you having trouble getting there? Let us know!
