A quirky travel story.
What do you do when you are on your own, the seasons are slowly going faster than yourself and the world around you is becoming increasingly uglier?
Artistic photographer Ludo Delbon from Kalmthout traveled alone for months with his camper through Norway and Iceland. Artists often placed their landscape structures in places on the edge of human civilization. There, he regularly left his mobile home to experience the greatness and vulnerability of nature on foot, to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, or the magic of the northern lights. From the thousands of photos, he carefully created a beautiful photo presentation. With his brilliant photos, he does not only want to capture what he sees, but to interpret the landscape. He does not shy away from leaving out elements, editing photos or going into such detail that the image becomes almost abstract.
Ludo did not take the many artistic photos with an eye for a coherent story or sensational images. During his travels, he is constantly looking for beauty and meaning. And then the beautiful photos follow naturally. Naturally with his own (quirky) perspective.
It promises to be a varied presentation, with some explanation by the photographer and supported by a bit of music. First, he takes you to Norway in autumn colors. After the break, water and fire pull you into the wild spring beauty of Iceland. Feel certainly welcome to come and watch, experience and reflect.
