The Slow Show, founded in Manchester, makes deeply emotional and charged indie songs. They sway on the great baritone of Rob Goodwin. Meanwhile, the band released five strong studio albums and built up a loyal fan base. Their arrangements lean on space, tension and slowly building drama and draw as much from the language of film music as from indie rock. These expansive sounds come into their own best in an intimate, warm setting. De Stadsschouwburg is therefore perfect for songs like ‘Bloodline’, ‘Hurts’, ‘Eye To eye’ and 'Low'. Just like their songs, our bonbonniere is both understated and grand.
