The players of Eendracht Vooruit are now in their fifties. The group has grown apart and has other things on their minds than football: each in their own way, our friends are struggling with the upbringing of their young adult children. They realize that life is too short for arguments. But to get back together, they will need the help of the new generation of Eendracht Vooruit. In the first Team Spirit film from 2000, we saw a group of young twenty-somethings, including Axel Daeseleire, Michaël Pas, Warre Borgmans, and Dimitri Leue, on the big screen. By now, their characters have passed fifty and have teenage children. In the new film Team Spirit Next Gen, the football team comes together with their families for a profound confrontation: Geert, their children's coach and their best friend, suffers from the muscle disease ALS. The long-hidden secret causes a shock within the group. This strengthens their mutual bond and brings them closer together. Determined to support Geert, they do everything they can to fulfill his bucket list. The film is directed by Jan Verheyen and Anne-Marie Brandstötter. The screenplay was written by Dimitri Leue and Mats Elsen. Producenten Yves Van De Paer, Kobe Van Steenberghe, and Hendrik Verth produced the film on behalf of A Team Productions.
