For 30 years, Daan has been building a unique musical universe in which pop noire, indie rock, electro, country, beats, and ballads effortlessly coexist. In Crooner he brings that rich world back to its essence, in an intimate and theatrical setting. At the grand piano or guitar, he digs deeper into his repertoire and lets you hear what connects all his songs: melancholy, humor, visual metaphors (Daan is also a graphic artist), and an indomitable urge to translate emotions into almost baroque musical paintings. Together with permanent muse Isolde Lasoen on vibraphone, drums, trumpet, bells, and vocals, and the virtuoso Jean-François Assy on cello, a layered and compelling live experience is created.
