Sad Boys Klub
Sad Boys Klub is a Ghent four-piece band that dresses up the eighties in a shoegaze jacket with great gusto. Think: the shadows of Joy Division and Bauhaus dancing hand in hand with DIIV and bdrmm. The result? Dark, melodious, and just dirty enough to remain exciting. They float somewhere between raw intensity and danceable melancholy. Music for those who want to stare at their shoes, but still cannot stand still. With dissonant guitars, tight rhythms, and deadpan vocals, they build a sound that cuts, chafes, and is simultaneously surprisingly addictive.
Corbilla bird & Standub
Dit duo brings a jumble of madness. Touches of poetry, bluesy ingredients, but above all going wild with crazy lyrics on the groovy beats of Standub. Which he conjures up on the spot with a mix of live beatbox and synthesizers as if it were nothing. On top of that, Corbilla Bird then performs all kinds of word creations with full conviction. 50 percent prepared, 50 percent improvisation from the corbillation station. From pillar to post with the common thread of getting the party started, yet they also know how to touch the sensitive chords.
