Musica Divina - ClubMediéval & Spectra Ensemble

If there is one moment that can reveal the truth, it must be on the stroke of midnight. And preferably a quiet, somber, dark night. That is the premise of the chanson 'La nuict froide et sombre' by Orlandus Lassus. Flemish composer Daan Janssens got to work with the original and made an idiosyncratic arrangement for five instruments. Immortal repertoire in dialogue with newly composed music, that was the idea ClubMediéval and Spectra Ensemble started with. Ockeghem inspired Harrison Birtwistle and regular Frederik Neyrinck incorporates Bedyngham into a brand-new composed work.
