Walk through university Leuven (Dosfelkring Herent)

Did you know that Leuven has the oldest Catholic university in Europe and also the oldest university in the Low Countries? Even after the anniversary year ‘600 years KULeuven 1425-2025’, there is still a lot to discover about this university city. We certainly want to tell you some striking stories such as… a professor who performed a dissection on his own leg, students who drank too much, a student who pretended to be a king and was received with all honors, the first female students who caused a commotion, a student prison from which students could escape… But you will also learn more about famous professors such as Desiderius Erasmus, Gerard Mercator, Jan-Pieter Minckelers, and more recently also Georges Lemaître, Pieter De Somer.
