Open restoration studio

How are the paintings from the KMSKA collection conserved and restored so that they can hang at their best in the museum halls? Every two months, you are welcome in the restoration studio. Then you will learn everything from the restorers themselves about the artworks they are currently treating. The restoration studio is an international center for knowledge and research, where restorers from all over the world work together. The working language in the restoration studio is English . On May 5, 2026 , you will visit Studio Rubens where you can talk to the restorers of Rubens' Adoration of the Magi . On Tuesday, July 7 , you can visit 2 places: In the restoration studio, you will get a view of the ongoing treatments, including a painting by Pieter Brueghel II. In Studio Rubens in the Rubens Hall, you can talk to the restorers of the Adoration of the Magi . Practical Free with an entrance ticket. We provide an explanation at 3:00 PM and at 3:30 PM. You can find the restoration studio and Studio Rubens on floor 2.
