Erhan Demirci was born on January 14, 1983, in the stylish Beringen. Together with his brother and sister, he grew up in the even more stylish Limburgse Ham.
Erhan walks, in his known way, through his school years and goes to study in Brussels. He gets a taste for it and follows further training in Ghent and Washington DC. After this, he starts working as a marketing and communications specialist. During his student years, he already starts experimenting with comedy. His final place at the Culture Comedy Award 2010 and the jury prize of the 123 Comedy Award 2011 made him immediately the biggest promise within the Flemish comedy land. “We will hear more from this man,” suggested “De Standaard” with 4 stars and Erhan immediately lived up to that expectation.
For several years he toured with the comedy collective “Hakims of Comedy” and thus visited many cultural centers in both Flanders and the Netherlands. Afterward, he played the opening act for ‘Han solo bedankt!’ for 2 seasons. In his own stand-up performances, this true guest worker's son spares no subject – his own exodus from the hard, Limburg village life to the even harder “life in the ghetto” of Brussels not in the least. Not only politics & integration form his inspiration, the everyday life of the average Belgian strikes him all the more.
Erhan also becomes very involved with ‘nuff said’ and when this theater production gets a chance on TV, one of Erhan's videos grows into a remarkable hit on TV and the internet. This opened the doors for other TV work. For example, he could be seen in the Ketnet series 4ever, but he is also a welcome guest in panel shows such as ‘Is er een dokter in de zaal’. His love for football ensures that he is now also often seen in football programs and podcasts. Erhan now focuses on 4 areas: comedy, school shows, radio and TV work.
After his school show ‘tussen friet en kebab’ (2014-2018) and his evening shows ‘Komt Goed’ (2016-2019) about the attacks in Brussels, ‘Wa Make’ (2018-2020), ‘Doe Rustig’ (2021-2022), Erhan tours through Flanders from October 2023 with ‘Verwachtingen’! Each time the direction is in the hands of his friend and mentor, but above all one of the strongest directors in the comedy world, Han Coucke.
