Supernova Laureates Concert

Ter Dilft helped choose the two winners of Supernova in 2025, an encouragement prize that gives young Belgian artists in chamber music name recognition and playing opportunities, and gives the two winners a place on his stage. Het Naka Kwartet was born from a shared wish: to make chamber music a lively place, a place of dialogue, deep listening, and artistic exploration. Naka (中), a Japanese word that means ‘middle’, ‘connection’, and ‘inner’, reflects their vision of music that connects, that raises questions, and that seeks the balance between voices, styles, and eras. Het Naka Kwartet is curious and engaged and explores a repertoire that reaches from major works (Haydn, Beethoven, Mendelssohn…) to contemporary music, with excursions into creation and improvisation. An exact program is not yet known at the time of going to press, but that we will get a fascinatingly varied concert is already certain!
