19h30 - CALLIGRAFFERZ
CalligraFFerz presents itself as a dynamic fusion, mixing with finesse the groove of hip-hop, the depth of jazz and the atmospheric textures of trip-hop. Driven by a strong desire to translate the nuances of human emotion through improvisation, the group develops a musical language that is both free, sensitive and embodied.
At the heart of this sound, Théo Füeg's playing on the keyboard brings a singular richness and depth to each piece. Yannick Heselle lays the foundations with precise and organic bass lines, structuring the whole with accuracy. Thomas Dimmers drives the movement, drums that are both subtle and inhabited, which gives the music its tension and breathing. Arnaud Guichard deploys an approach to fine and mastered improvisation, always in balance between restraint and intensity.
The group regularly collaborates with the rapper Dynamic Douma, whose flow, anchored in the heritage of the 90s, brings a dimension that is both direct and poetic to these constantly evolving soundscapes.
21h - UNDER THE REEFS ORCHESTRA
The Brussels instrumental power trio Under The Reefs Orchestra evolves at the crossroads of experimental jazz and post-rock. The guitarist and composer Clément Nourry, known as a musical partner of Yokaï and Nicolas Michaux, is accompanied by the saxophonist Marti Melia (Flat Earth Society) and the drummer Jakob Warmenbol (Don Kapot). Its name betrays its ambition: as a trio, it strives to constantly create a grandiose and rich sound, worthy of the title "orchestra". In the spirit of visionary artists such as Moondog and Morphine, the trio invites you to a leap into the unknown, with a sound greater than the sum of its parts.
