Reveil

Reveil in Hamme is a commemoration moment on November 1, where standing still together is central. In a warm and respectful atmosphere, we pause for a moment to think about who we miss and what connects them to us. This year, Reveil takes the form of a circus performance that makes room for memory, comfort, and reflection, called Kintsugi. KINTSUGI by Compagnie Krak is a clownesque, poetic, and raw performance about loss, grief, and comfort. A journey from hope to despair, to sadness to anger, to the realization that losing someone never leaves you, and that that is okay. With a subtle, disarming, and visual approach, shape is given to a theme that connects us all. There is a man. There is a door. There is hope. The man waits. And waits. Together we wait. He does his best to play away the emptiness, but it becomes increasingly clear how this is all going to end... In KINTSUGI, hardly any words are spoken – and that is not necessary. The image predominates, the humor breaks the tension, and the comfort is just around the corner. A performance that touches without crushing. Grief food that does not lie heavy on the stomach, but digests gently. Warm yourself with a nice cup of coffee or tea after the performance. Bij Huis of the Child, the little artists can decorate their own candle bag. Everyone is welcome to commemorate together.
