Their very last reunion concert ever Brassband Midden-Brabant was founded in 1975 and was thus the first Belgian brass band. Under the direction of various conductors including Jean-Pierre Leveugle, Jan Van der Roost, Michel Leveugle, and Benny Wiame, they reached great heights in the Belgian and international brass band world. From Brassband Midden-Brabant, many musicians found their way to international concert stages and the major professional orchestras over time. The band was active until 2004, but the spirit and impact remain strong and extensive to this day. Throughout this entire period, chairman Robert Leveugle was the driving force behind the band. In the past, reunion concerts have already taken place a couple of times and now the troops are being called together one last time. Conductors are Michel Leveugle and Jan Van der Roost and the soloist is Jeroen Berwaerts, once principal cornet of the band and now an internationally renowned soloist and professor of trumpet. On the program are various evergreens of yesteryear, indispensable classics from the repertoire, and a good dose of brass band melancholy.
