From Kill Bill to Ennio Morricone: "Sound Cathedral" brings Hollywood to Hijfte

LOCHRISTI – After a full concert during the Gentse Feesten, the duo "Sound Cathedral" will land in Hijfte on Friday, July 31. Organiste Sandra Van der Gucht and trumpeter Lieven Dobbelaere will present a program in which film music and classical music meet. Sandra Van der Gucht, a teacher at the conservatory of Ghent, has played concerts in neighboring countries and live on the national radio of Slovenia in recent years. For this performance, she returns to the municipality where she grew up. Together with Lieven Dobbelaere (trumpeter and teacher at MUDA), they will perform their own arrangements of well-known music. Anyone who thinks a church organ is dusty is mistaken. Armed with film classics by Morricone, recognizable tunes from Kill Bill, and a touch of nostalgia with the Smurfs, these top artists prove how dynamic and lively their music is.
