Mec yek - Summer Stopovers

**Mec Yek** is a unique Roma-inspired band that emerged from the meeting between Piet Maris and Roma musicians in Slovakia. Starting from traditional Roma songs and singing in Romani, the group blends gypsy music with influences from ska, tarantella, and blues, which results in a lively and contemporary sound. Together with the Roma singers Katia and Milka Pohlodkova, Mec Yek gives a new interpretation to musical traditions in a creative and energetic way.
