Murs Murs Théâtre Action + 14 years Collective Rhizome / Lou Joubert Bouhnik En partnership with PAC WAPI and the non-profit De Maux à Mots, the Centre Culturel hosts Murs Murs, an engaged show that gives to see, to hear, and to think about the mechanisms of control, but also the possible paths of release. Inspired notably by the work "Je n’existais plus" by anthropologist Pascale Jamoulle, the creation explores intrafamily violence and the systems of control that often settle in silence, the invisible, and the dispossession of self. From archives, testimonies, and research, Murs Murs questions what confines, what isolates, what prevents one from still recognizing oneself as a subject. The show also questions the invisibilization of this violence by society and justice. Because control is not only a matter of the intimate: it is inscribed in broader mechanisms, social, family, institutional, which can silence, minimize, or make difficult the recognition of what is experienced. Here, personal history becomes political, and the stage becomes a place of inquiry, listening, and resistance. Mais Murs Murs does not stop at the observation. It also seeks to open exits: how to name the unthinkable? How to understand the mechanisms that make control possible? How to find a voice, a support, a capacity to act? Release becomes a collective horizon, a way to imagine together the gestures, the links, and the resources that allow one to get out of confinement. Between theatrical inquiry, sensitive narration, and sound creation, Murs Murs opens a space for shared reflection, awareness, and social transformation. The performance will be followed by a time of exchange with the public, in order to prolong the questions raised by the play and to make the theater a place of speech, listening, and common reconstruction.
