A conversation about architecture, art, and sea view. In 1942, the Kursaal van Oostende was demolished to make way for a bunker. Those war years mark the start of an intense design and construction process until the opening in 1953. For architect Léon Stynen, architecture and art formed an inseparable whole. He involved artists such as Paul Delvaux, Marc Mendelson, and Pierre Caille in the project. Moreover, the interior, from lighting to furniture, was created on Stynen's drawing board.
